Our presenter: James Alexander
What haven’t I done should be the question when it comes to reading this bio? My name is James Alexander and I am the guy in the Orange Bowtie. I am also known in some circles as Mr. Nkredible. Why is it important that you remember those two names? Ask me and I’ll tell you. I have started companies with varying degrees of success resulting in professional and personal losses.
I’m a Detroit native who graduated in August 2001 with a Bachelor’s. There I majored in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts and minored in Entrepreneurship from Central Michigan University. Full scholarship thanks to a little game the country loves called Football.
From there life took a turn upon graduating I taught Middle school Math and developed a love for numbers it was after my first year that my drive for TV grew beyond my environment, so I decided to go back to school but before I did that, I wanted to do an internship. I did one in Baltimore, Maryland at a station called WBAL TV 11 News an NBC Affiliate owned by Hearst Argyle. Long story on how I got the internship. Ask me and I’ll tell you. Once there I spent a minimum of 60 hours a week at the station as an intern. I produced cut-ins and shows as an intern. Once it was time to leave, I was given a choice go back to school or stay in Baltimore. I stayed and was hired as an Asst. Producer with responsibilities for assisting the morning show producers then producing the noon show. After a few months I earned the morning show and the noon. So, I was producing two shows for the #1 revenue generating station in the group.
After a year in that position Mr. Alexander yearned to do more which meant going National. In 2004 he was hired to produce the News for the nationally distributed Television show “The Daily Buzz”, which broadcasted out of Orlando, Florida.
